Choose logs that burn well
Good-quality firewood should be clean and dry, as they generally light more easily than wood with a high moisture content. It should be suitable for your fireplace or stove and should be kept protected from rain while allowing air to circulate. Storing them off the ground can also help keep the supply cleaner and drier. At Carlisle Fuels, we offer good-quality logs you can depend on and a straightforward firewood delivery in Belfast.
Kiln-dried vs. seasoned firewood
Choosing the right firewood can make a difference in how easily your fire lights and burns. Seasoned wood has been naturally dried over time, while kiln-dried logs are dried in a controlled environment to reduce moisture. Kiln-dried logs are generally easier to light and can provide a cleaner, more consistent burn when stored correctly.
If you are looking for firewood logs in Belfast, Carlisle Fuels offers many options to suit your home and heating needs. In addition to firewood, we also supply home heating oil, making it easy to keep your household warm throughout the colder months.
